1.
What is fill power?
Fill power is the measurement for a quality of down. The number
indicates the ability of down to loft (how many cubic inches is
filled by one ounce of down). One ounce of 750 fill power down will
loft to 750 cubic inches. The greater the loft, the better the clusters
trap the air and keep you warm. Our comforters are filled only with
750 fill power, Hungarian white goose down. Fill power ranges from
about 500 to 750+. Usually hand-harvested goose down can be 750+
fill power. This high fill power will give you maximum warmth without
weight. Feathers have little insulating ability because they don't
have the same lofting characteristics of down. No feather, blend
or raw is used in our goose down comforters.

2.
How important is thread count for down comforters?
Thread count is the number of threads that are contained in one
square inch of fabric. It is not an indicator of the downproof quality
of fabric. What is important is the type and size of yarn, the density
of weaving and the specialized finishing techniques needed to insure
the fabric's downproof qualities.Fabric can be woven densely at
226 threads, or at 400 threads. But in order to weave high thread
count fabric, yarns have to have a smaller diameter, often resulting
in a cloth that is too fine for holding down and for retaining the
stitching over many years. Fabric used for our comforters and pillows
is a world best Okotex product from Germany crafted of fine Egyptian
cotton. These fabrics ranging from 226 to 360 thread count are woven
with more durable, more breathable, softer and more luxuries yarns,
and contain the tightest weave to prevent down leaking. They are
also the lightest and therefore maximize the down's ability to loft.

3. How
is baffled boxes design constructed?
Baffled boxes design minimizes shifting of down and thus preventing
cold areas. The quilting pattern of the comforter is not sewn through.
A baffle is an internal vertical wall of fabric between the top
and bottom layers of fabric in a comforter. It allows the down to
expand to reach its fullest potential for the highest loft. It also
gives flaxibility and durability to the stitching of the comforter
when you toss and turn at night.

4.
Are your products antiallergenic?
No poison and toxic chemicals are used for cleaning the down and
feathers used in our products. All of our comforters and pillows
are made out of pure cotton, so they are all natural products -
healthy to the skin. All feathers and down are cleaned with great
precision and care. After every processing step there is strict
quality control. Because each lot of raw materials is different,
it is cleaned individually to maximize its inherent qualities. All
feathers and down is cleaned for stringent requirements of German
and European standards.
Many people are allergic to dust and dust mites. Our products are
recommended by doctors to be used by sensitive people. Experiments
proved, that our products limit the inhalation of dust; therefore
they effectively combat allergies and asthma. Scientific studies
done in Europe have shown that dust mites cannot penetrate the downproof
materials used in down comforters. While mites can attach to the
surface of the comforter, we recommend to use a good duvet cover
that is washed often. Down comforters get warm easily and any humidity
leaves them very quickly. Since dust mites like humidity, they do
not like down comforters.

Are the geese killed for down ?
Our birds are not killed for down and feathers. The fills for all
of our comforters and pillows are only large cluster hand harvested
down and feather from farm-raised geese without any injury to the
birds - proven by the veterinary and hygiene institute. As the geese
get older they produce larger down clusters. so they live long healthy
lives. The plucking might be annoying, but it does not harm the
birds. Most of the down and feathers used in the world, is a byproduct
of the food industry. Our down is not a by product of the food industry

7. How do you
clean and care for down comforter?
Upon receiving, shake and fluff your comforter or pillow, let the
air through it and you are ready to enjoy this great product. We
highly suggest using a good duvet cover that closes securely and
is laundered often. Down comforters need very infrequent cleaning,
if properly covered with a protective duvet cover. To insure that
your pillow or comforter will give you many many years of warm and
comfortable sleep, once every two months you should let it aired
out. When you must clean it, we suggest that you have your comforter
cleaned professionally, either laundered or dry-cleaned. All our
products are washable on 105F; however, it should not be done at
home. Down comforters are too large for home washers, and if the
fabric is torn, the down can escape damaging your washer. In the
dryer, the comforter will expand so much that it will block the
escape of hot air and result in a scorched comforter. Dry cleaning
is another option, but will leave a chemical odor.
If you ever have to store your comforter or pillow you must not
use plastic bag for storage. Use a cotton-breathing storage bag.
If you need a storage bag, we will gladly ship it to you for a small
charge.
Store the product in a cotton bag allowing the product to breath.
Do not store in plastic bag, or box.
Never use strong vacuum storage bag.

8. What is duvet cover?
A duvet cover is a comforter cover that protects your comforter
and can be removed for regular washing. It is traditional European
way of bedding, lighter and more convenient. Duvet is the French
word for down, but it is commonly used for comforter. For a really
comfortable sleep we recommend that your duvet cover be made from
lightweight, sheet-type fabrics, preferably from cotton or even
silk. The lighter the better.
